Rough Trade, la mejor tienda de discos del mundo, ha decidido poner en su lugar al indiepop, un estilo maltratado y demasiadas veces despreciado. Sean, gran hombre en la trastienda del cuartel general de Portobello, ha escogido una impecable selección de nombres de ayer (¡Popguns! ¡Flatmates! ¡qué recuerdos!) y de hoy, un completo barrido para no iniciados que me ha puesto de buen humor con sólo leer los nombres incluidos. La sorpresa, hasta cierto punto agradable, es encontrar entre todos ellos -además del uberclásico de Spearmint Sweeping The Nation- a los ponferradinos Juniper Moon, una debilidad confesa de Mr. Sean aka Eggplant. Puestos a poner a un grupo español, e influido por mi escucha obsesiva de los últimos días, yo habría puesto alguna del último de Cola Jet Set, que es una maravilla de soul-pop vigorizante e hipermelódico. O algo de TCR. Las recopilaciones son así, al final sólo le gusta todo al que la ha hecho. Pero esta ha quedado muy completita.
